For this Employee Spotlight, we're highlighting Eduardo de la Vega, Lead Group Leader for PayPal's Business Services
and Global Customer Service teams in Mexico City, Mexico. He's also the global co-chair for Aliados, PayPal's Latinx
employee resource group.
Eduardo was born and raised in Bolivia until he was 15. He came to the U.S. as an international student and now calls
Nebraska home. Eduardo has worked at PayPal for 23 years, spending most of his time as a people leader for both
front-
and back-office teams and has watched the company grow from a startup to having over 426 million active users.
“We are pioneers in the online payment arena,” Eduardo says. “Since the beginning, we have been the
leaders of the online payment industry, by moving quickly and changing with the times.”
Eduardo considers “Do the Right Thing” to be his favorite Leadership Principle. “As leaders and
employees of the company, we have to lead by example and do the right thing 100% of the time,” he says.
