Meet Muthu P., a Data Science Intern on the SMB Marketing Analytics team at PayPal in India. During his internship, he focused on data analysis projects that helped the team understand the impact of their marketing efforts, including assisting marketers to quantify the effectiveness of their strategies. Working closely with the SMB Marketing Analytics team, led by Tarun G., Muthu shares, "My manager is incredibly supportive, always going above and beyond to assist with my projects and ensuring I'm learning and growing in my role.”

One of Muthu's most significant projects at PayPal was optimizing a process to match customers for analysis. Initially, the task seemed daunting as it required a delicate balance between accuracy and efficiency. He had to devise a way to simplify the matching process without losing essential details. Reflecting on this experience, he shared, "This taught me the importance of persistence and innovative thinking." He also emphasized the value of teamwork, as his colleagues provided crucial support and feedback throughout the process.

A unique aspect of the SMB Marketing Analytics team is their regular brainstorming sessions. These meetings encourage creative thinking and innovative solutions, allowing every team member to contribute ideas, regardless of their position or experience level.
