We’re thrilled to celebrate the contributions of interns and recent graduates across PayPal during the month of August. Meet Sose H., an Undergraduate intern on the Corporate Affairs and Communications Strategy team.
As part of the Corporate Affairs and Communications Strategy team at PayPal, she sits on the Executive Communications team, specifically focused on CEO Communications Strategy, Channels, and Events. This summer, Sose helped lay the groundwork for CEO Alex Chriss’s new executive program by creating briefing materials, messaging documents, and playbooks to support his engagements and communications.
“I’ve always loved communications, so getting to do what I’m passionate about in an industry as fast-moving and relevant as fintech has been incredibly exciting. It feels amazing to be part of something that’s shaping the future,” she said.
We invited Sose to reflect on her internship experience at PayPal and share advice for future interns:
How have you felt supported during your time here?
“I’ve felt incredibly supported during my time at PayPal. My managers have been the best mentors I could have asked for and have shown me what success looks like in this field and how to lead with both confidence and kindness. My teammates were there for me every step of the way, always willing to help and never making me feel like anything less than a valued part of the team. I was given real visibility, invited into important meetings, and had the chance to work closely with stakeholders and leaders across the company. It made me feel trusted, empowered, and truly included.”
What has been your favorite experience so far?
“One of my most memorable moments at PayPal was hosting a live fireside chat with CEO Alex Chriss on National Intern Day. Moderating from New York City felt surreal. Sitting down with such a visionary leader and getting to ask him questions directly was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Alex’s inspiring and authentic insights left me with advice I’ll carry throughout my career and reminded me of the power of curiosity and asking bold questions.”

What advice would you give to students or recent grads who want to work here?
“For students or recent grads who want to work at PayPal, my biggest piece of advice is to stay open, adaptable, and ready to soak it all in. PayPal is a place where change is constant and exciting. AI is evolving, the workforce is shifting, and new ideas are emerging every day. This is such a thrilling time to be starting your career. If you align with the company’s mission and values and come in with a curious mindset, you’ll find endless opportunities to grow, learn, and make a real impact. Embracing change is not just encouraged here, it’s where the magic happens.”
